The Duca LED table lamp was added to Oluce’s permanent collection thanks to its simplicity and its grace. It was originally designed for the new ME Milan Il Duca, a prestigious luxury hotel. Reinventing the classic bedside table shape, the Duca makes it impossible to perceive the source of light.

Designer
NICOLA GALLIZIA
Born in Milan, he went to the faculty of architecture at Milan Polytechnic. From 1990 to 1999 he assisted Luca Meda in producing the image and product for Molteni & C. and Dada SpA. Since 1999, his work with Molteni and Dada has continued as an image and product development consultant. Participation as art director and designer at the Gruppo Camera. 2001 He begins working with Pitti Living to produce displays and exhibitions. iDot award for the Rayon Vert table. 2003 In 2003 he took over artistic direction at Molteni & C., specifically dealing with the new artwork project, the concept and the producing of product catalogues, setting up stands at the main fairs, and design and fitting of some of their flagship stores and events. 2008 Received the Good Design Award 2008 assigned by Chicago Athenaeum and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies for the China lamp. 2009 Received a Designpreis Deutschland 2010 nomination for the Progetto 6 clock.
