BRAND HISTORY

Georges Léon Rispal established his lighting company in 1924 in the vibrant city of Paris, France. By the early 1950s, the company gained remarkable success with its “Formes Nouvelles” catalog, offering avant-garde lighting inspired by Scandinavian design. Architects and decorators embraced the brand’s innovative concept, allowing them to create their own designs using Rispal’s opalines, lampshades, wood pieces, and bases.

Inspired by this legacy, Douglas Mont, a lighting designer and Rispal collector, partnered with Clément Bergès and Georgette Rispal to relaunch the iconic and timeless models while honoring the brand’s original style and DNA and pay tribute to the avant-gardism.
